Kroger: Extend The Hero Pay Bonus!

CEO Rodney McMullen

“If you have to wear a mask, the danger has not passed!” – UFCW 1996 member in Georgia.

Join UFCW 1996 in calling on Kroger and its CEO Rodney McMullen to extend the Hero Pay bonus until the COVID-19 crisis is over and enforce safety measures in Kroger stores!

Without workers' input, Kroger CEO Rodney McMullen announced that the Hero Pay Bonus will end on May 16th. UFCW 1996 believes it should be extended for as long as the COVID-19 pandemic crisis continues. On May 7th, President Steve Lomax sent a letter to Rodney McMullen imploring the company to extend the Hero Bonus for as long as necessary, until things truly return “back to normal”.

Everyday, essential grocery store workers are on the front-lines making sure that communities are supplied with what they need. Tell Kroger CEO Rodney McMullen to give workers the pay and safety measures they deserve.

We are essential grocery workers and the customers who stand in support of these essential employees in our community.

Everyday, essential workers like grocery and retail workers are on the front-lines making sure that communities are supplied with what they need. We want Kroger CEO Rodney McMullen to give workers the pay and safety measures they deserve.

This includes:
-Extending the Hero Pay bonus until the COVID-19 pandemic is officially over;
-Enforcing safety and social distancing measures in stores, like customers wearing masks.

Appreciate and protect these workers.
